This attractive box has an intentional rustic finish. Each box has its own character. The finish is a not a high gloss and there may be random dents in the wood surface.

The difference between rustic and damaged is that the damaged boxes have dents and nicks caused from dropping or misuse. They will usually expose the unfinished wood color. Rustic means the colored stain was applied to wood with existing dents characteristic to that piece that do not detract from the integrity of the piece.

This box is not damaged, but it is rustic. Please do not order this box if you are looking for a glossy or perfect finish. It is still a very attractive box. The interior is nicely finished and is smooth with the base of the interior being lined.
