This plate size is ideal for most of our boxes. It is 4" x 2" and can accommodate up to five (5) lines of text. The gold plate is aluminum with a faint blackwash over the lettering. It is mounted onto a black plate. The marble-look plates are brass with gold lettering and are mounted on top of a gold plate.
Note: Engraved plates can only be ordered as an addition to your box order. We do not accept orders for engraved plates without an accompanying box.
Engraved plates are NOT recommended for the following box styles:
Recommendation: We recommend attaching plates to the interior lid of the box. We feel that this makes a nicer presentation and also offers more protection for the personalized plate. On boxes with "pre-attached" plates, we will only affix the plates to the interior lid. If you order "not attached" feel free to make your own decision as to what works best for your selected box.
Not Attached or Pre-Attached?
Plates "not attached" can be mailed either with your box or shipped separately by our engravers. If you are in a hurry, we recommend having the plates shipped separately directly from our engravers. Plates ordered this way are shipped via USPS parcel post. Since they are being mailed from two different locations, you will probably not receive your box and name plate on the same day, but it will be quicker than having them shipped with the box. When the plates are shipped with the box, we must first wait to receive them from our engravers and then we ship your order. This could cause several days delay in your receipt of your order. Please inspect your box closely before attaching the plate. Once the plate is attached we can only offer a 50% refund on any returned box.
Plates "Pre-attached" are shipped to us first. After we attach the plate to the interior lid of your box, we ship it to you. (Note: If you are ordering multiple boxes, please specify which box this plate belongs to in the Comments section of your order.) Boxes with "pre-attached" plates:
For Orders Outside USA...Engraved Plates that are being shipped to locations outside the United States will ship with the box. You decide whether you want them attached or not, but either way they will ship with the box to save postage costs.
Graphics... Adding a picture is a nice touch, but remember that this means you may need to use fewer letters per line on your text.
