The box is made from Kashmiri walnut wood by M. Ayub. This box seems impossible to open ...that is, until you know about the secret panel in front. The interior is lined and has a removable jewelry tray that has 2 ring slots.The box was crafted by M. Ayub, whose artistry has been featured in Family magazine. All of his creations are crafted entirely by hand, using no machinery. Before beginning work on the walnut wood, he first dries it for 2-3 years. He never uses artificial coloring in his art. He rubs each piece with agate stone before completing it with a wax polish.
