These beautiful boxes of India are handcrafted from walnut wood.

Walnut Wood Boxes...Before the wood is used, it must be dried completely, which takes between 2 and 3 years. The boxes are all handcarved. When the carving is complete, each piece is rubbed with agate stone and then waxed to its ultimate alluring beauty.

These carved boxes are "secret boxes". Boxes labeled as "secret boxes" can only be opened after you slide a secret panel that allows the box to become "unlocked".
