Click on photos to see enlargements.This entrancing box is made from Kashmiri walnut wood by M. Ayub. It seems impossible to open ...that is, until you know about the secret panel in front. Inside the box has a removable tray and is lined in velvet.
The box was crafted by M. Ayub, whose artistry has been featured in Family magazine. All of his creations are crafted entirely by hand, using no machinery. Before beginning work on the walnut wood, he first dries it for 2-3 years. He never uses artificial coloring in his art. He rubs each piece with agate stone before completing it with a wax polish.
The removable tray has one large compartment and slips for 5 rings. There are 2 compartments below the tray.
Personalization...Since the interior lid of this box also features a carved design, we do not recommend adding an engraved personalized plate. It would be hard to accomplish tastefully.
