"Leaf Majesty" Carved Secret Box of India - M. Ayub 8"x5"x3"
NOTE: Although, the photo above of the open box has a blue velvet lining, but this box now has a burgandy velvet lining.The box is made from Kashmiri walnut wood by M. Ayub. This box seems impossible to open ...that is, until you know about the secret panel in front. Inside the box has a removable tray which has room for small trinkets and 3 ring slots. The box is lined in burgandy velvet.
The box was crafted by M. Ayub, whose artistry has been featured in Family magazine. All of his creations are crafted entirely by hand, using no machinery. Before beginning work on the walnut wood, he first dries it for 2-3 years. He never uses artificial coloring in his art. He rubs each piece with agate stone before completing it with a wax polish.
Personalizing it... If you choose to add a personalized engraved plate (below), we recommend the burgandy marble, which compliments the velvet lining of this box.
