The box is made from Kashmiri walnut wood by M. Ayub. It is called a secret box, because unless you know the "secret", opening it seems nearly impossible!All of Mr. Ayub's creations are crafted entirely by hand, using no machinery. The unusual shape of this box makes it especially challenging to perfect. Before beginning work on the walnut wood, he first dries it for 2-3 years. He never uses artificial coloring in his art. He rubs each piece with agate stone before completing it with a wax polish.
