Nested Wooden Puzzle BoxesAvailability Note: Cory the WoodButcher passed away after a long illness. Please keep his family in your prayers. His work and his presence will be missed by many. These incredible boxes were handcrafted by Cory Renaldi, the "WoodButcher", in Arkansas. They are made from the roots of trees that would normally be dug out and burned after the main wood has been harvested. Roots are not desirable for lumber due to the dirt and rock that is found in them, BUT they do contain the most beautiful burled grain patterns with many exotic shapes and twists to work with. These are nature's hidden beauties. All of these boxes are made from American grown wood and harvested from private land. No trees were cut just for the purpose of making these boxes! Roots selected by Cory are first power washed to remove extraneous debris and allowed to dry for about 18 months. They are then quartered and air dried for another 3-5 years. The WoodButchers works have been shown at arts and craft shows around the world and has even been exhibited in museums and sold to several well known politicians and celebrities; however Cory states "to tell the truth, it's when the average person buys from me that I am always amazed the most because they truly are spending their hard earned cash on something I make and it truly humbles me every time." An asterisk (*) indicates that the box is SOLD out. Each box is a one-of-a-kind creation. The itemns will no longer be produced. |
